BEBC Awana Grand Prix

"Gentlemen [Boys & Girls], start....your......engines!!!" Friday night was our annual Awana Grand Prix...It was a fun night of judging, racing and, of course....eating! Robby and Molly entered their cars into the race as "Half Pipe" and "Stripey Suzie". While their cars did not end up winning the race, Robby's car did win 3rd place for design. Great job, racers!

How exciting! Your very first post! Good job kiddos on the cars. Did you take the camera? I would love to see pictures. Who did win?

I believe a boy named Leng won the race. He was pretty excited! And yes, I did take pics and was desperately trying to upload them to this post, but to no avail...I asked Jason about it tonight at church, but we couldn't figure out what the problem was. Any suggestions?

so... i was looking around at the image uploading process, and really the only thing i can come up with is that the pics are not .jpeg, .gif, or .bmp type files, OR they are bigger than 8 megabytes, which i doubt, because that is huge, no one in their right mind would be taking everyday snapshots that are that big. we will ahve to stop over some night after church or else maybe Crystal can talk you through it over the phone? looks like you have a good start though.

If you're attempting to upload pictures that are too large in file size it will never work, or it will take too long. Do you have an exporting process or "shrinking" process with your camera software?

I just checked the size of the pictures I upload. They run around 125 KB. The picture before I export it would have been about 1 MB. The 1MB ones don't upload.

Usually if you send the "unshrunk" ones via email they show up in Outlook Express as huge (like...you see an eyeball!) and you have to actually click on the attachment itself and open the file in order to see the full picture through Microsoft Photo Viewer or something. The photos you export can be viewed in its entirety without actually opening up the email. I'll email you a couple of examples so you know what I'm talking about.

Feel free to call anytime. I'm not an expert, but I've messed up so many times, that I might be able to help. I've learned by trial and error.

Lydia,

Another FYI: Blogger was having some internal errors a couple of nights ago with uploading pictures. It might not have been the size of your pictures after all.

I think that's exactly what I experienced...'cause I'm able to upload pics no problem now!
